We all know and love Tom Bergeron as the charming host of shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos, Hollywood Squares, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and Dancing With the Stars. Tom Bergeron Talks About His Showbiz Journey
In a recent, candid interview, Tom opened up about his long-standing career in showbiz. He shared that after hosting shows for over 35 years, he sees Dancing With the Stars as potentially his last hosting gig. But don't worry, fans—he’s not done with the spotlight yet. Instead, Tom is eager to shift gears and focus more on acting. "I’ve said publicly that I’ve been hosting things for over 35 years or whatever and I see Dancing With the Stars as the last thing I’ll host," he told People. "But I do want to flex those different muscles—those acting muscles—which I have done occasionally, but not often."

From Hosting to Acting: Tom's New Adventure
Tom isn't just resting on his laurels. This season, he’s returning to Dancing With the Stars for its 27th season, but he’s also stepping into a new role as an actor in the short film The Messenger. Tom loved every second of this project, working alongside talented actors like Jean Smart and RJ Walker. "It was nice to be in the company of actors like Jean Smart from Fargo and Designing Women and RJ Walker from Atlanta," he said. "We were shooting in a heat wave and I was... in a corduroy suit in 111 degrees in LA and my character is supposed to be annoyed. It helped... it really helped to get there."

Looking Back: The Success of 'Dancing With the Stars'
Tom's hosting gigs have certainly paid off—his net worth is reported to be a cool $16 million! Yet, he once joked that he doubted the show he’s most known for, Dancing With the Stars, would be such a massive hit. "It’s grown and expanded much more. I thought, in all honesty, we’d be a summer show, we’d be a six-week, every summer a little [filler show]," he revealed. "So this has been much bigger than I would have predicted... Just look at the set we have now and the production values that they are able to mount every week on a live show. It’s astounding."
