“Marriage? Honestly, I don’t think it’s relevant for anyone anymore,” Melanie shared. “But especially if you’re 60, you’ve got four kids, and you’re living the life you’ve always wanted. Why get married?” she asked rhetorically. “Of course, I’d love to fall in love, to have a romance, a real relationship. But let’s face it, it hasn’t happened yet. I keep looking, though. I’ve had a couple of lovers, but nothing serious. Life’s good, though. I’m not complaining,” she added with a laugh.

A Journey Through Love: Melanie’s Past Marriages
Melanie’s love story has been anything but straightforward. Her first marriage was to actor Don Johnson back in 1976, but it didn’t last long, ending just months later. Then came Steven Bauer in 1981, and the two were married until 1989. During this time, Melanie welcomed her son Alexander Bauer in August 1985. But here’s where things get interesting. In the same year she divorced Steven, she remarried Don Johnson. Together, they had a daughter, Dakota Johnson, in October 1989. However, this second marriage to Don also ended in divorce in 1996. Melanie’s last marriage was to Antonio Banderas, and they were together until their split in 2015. During their marriage, they welcomed their daughter, Stella Banderas, who is now 21 years old.
Despite the ups and downs, Melanie has nothing but love for her ex-husbands. “All of my husbands—Don, Steven, and Antonio—I love them all so much. We’re all very close,” she revealed. “It’s not as complicated as it seems. We’ve all moved on, but we’re still family in many ways. Life’s about relationships, not just romantic ones,” she added with a warm smile.
