Hey there, dance enthusiasts! Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars premiered on ABC back on September 24, and we’re nearing the thrilling end of what has been a truly unforgettable season. While it’s always tough to see a celebrity and their dance partner leave the competition, it’s an inevitable part of the show that we’ve all come to endure each week. After all, there has to be a winner! So, let’s dive right in and take a look at who went home during the latest DWTS episode.
Week 8: Double Trouble
Let’s rewind to Week 8, where the stakes were higher than ever. In a dramatic twist, the show decided to eliminate not one, but two pairs during the semifinals. Host Tom Bergeron delivered the heart-wrenching news: “Joe [Amabile] and Jenna [Johnson], Alexis [Ren] and Alan [Bersten], Juan Pablo [Di Pace] and Cheryl [Burke] — two of these couples had the lowest combined total of judges’ scores and viewer votes.” The suspense was palpable as Alexis and Alan were declared safe, leaving Joe and Jenna, as well as Juan Pablo and Cheryl, to bid farewell to the competition. It was a tough night, but the show must go on!

Viewers were left stunned by Juan Pablo’s elimination, especially after he earned a perfect score in the previous episode. But Juan took it all in stride, expressing his gratitude for the experience. "I just love dancing so much," he said. "And at least I got to do it in front of millions of people with this beautiful girl." He added, “We got to put on amazing numbers and that in itself is incredible. This is a dance show and we got to dance our socks off.”

Week 7: Another Double Elimination
Week 7 was another tough one for the remaining contestants. Three couples were placed in jeopardy: John Schneider and Emma Slater, DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold, and Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe. Ultimately, it was John and DeMarcus who were sent home from DWTS. Both men expressed their gratitude for the experience. "I feel like I won every week," DeMarcus said. John added, "This was one of the best experiences of my life." Their words resonated with fans, and we’ll surely miss their presence on the dance floor.
