Let’s talk about Sandra Oh, the incredible actress who brought Dr. Cristina Yang to life on 'Grey's Anatomy.' Even though her time on the show has come to an end, it’s clear that Sandra still holds a special place in her heart for the series. In a recent heart-to-heart with People magazine, Sandra revealed that she keeps a little piece of her Grey's Anatomy days close by—a prop from the show that holds sentimental value.
Now, you might be wondering what kind of prop could possibly hold such significance. Well, Sandra shared that she took a rug from the set of Cristina and Owen’s apartment, before their on-screen relationship took a turn. “The best thing I’ve ever taken from a set is the rug in Owen and Cristina’s apartment on 'Grey’s Anatomy' before they broke up,” Sandra said with a smile. “It’s now in my living room, and it reminds me of all the amazing memories I created on that show.”

Sandra Oh’s Emotional Goodbye to 'Grey’s Anatomy'
It’s been four years since Sandra Oh decided to exit 'Grey’s Anatomy,' and at the time, she confessed to The Hollywood Reporter that leaving her co-star Kevin McKidd behind would be “extremely difficult.” Kevin, who continues to play Cristina’s ex-husband, Owen, on the ABC hit series, remains a cherished part of Sandra’s life and career. Sandra explained that during her decade-long journey on the show, she and Kevin formed a deep bond, both personally and professionally.
“We’ve spent so much time together, and as Cristina and Owen went through their ups and downs, we really connected on a deeper level,” Sandra recalled. “It was a very emotional decision for me to leave, and I was incredibly sad to step away from the series. But I was also excited about exploring new opportunities in film and theater, which I hadn’t had the chance to dive into fully while I was on the show.”
